i use a tamron 17 - 55mm lens with a canon 450d body, it’s quite old but i really believe the lens makes a huge difference. in terms of good dslrs i would suggest a canon 550d or 500d. the newer versions of 450d, no need for like 5d they’re incredibly heavy!
